Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Since your password could be discovered by an unauthorised third party, Cloudomation Engine offers Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) as additional safety option.

How to enable or disable 2FA in Engine

Enabling 2FA

When registering a new user, you can choose to enable 2FA in the registration form.

For your existing user you can navigate to your user profile (User Management -> Edit profile). Then click on Enable two-factor authentication.

Use any 2FA application of your choice on your phone or other device to complete the process and follow the instructions on the form.

Disabling 2FA

You can disable 2FA by clicking on Disable two-factor authentication in your user profile.

Using 2FA

On Engine you will be asked to enter your 2FA code for the following actions:

  • Login
  • Changing the password
  • Recovering your account (password)
  • Changing your email address

When requested, simply enter your current 2FA code that is shown in your 2FA application.
